One of the most meaningful and empowering lessons we were given from Sir Isaac Newton is his third law of motion, “To every action there is always opposed an equal reaction.”
Perhaps there will be no greater time than the present to embrace the wisdom that single statement contains. As our world and our industry scrambles for answers and moves to a temporary isolated system, it’s imperative that we #dontstopthepresses and #pressonward together.
Regardless of our current climate, if we commit to finding the positives in life, relationships, and business, it will “infect” -- or better yet, affect -- new positive ideas to come out of all of this stronger than ever before.
And so to this, we -- and when I say “we,” I hope everyone reading this post, should come together, lock arms virtually, and work to #dontstopthepresses. This campaign is meant to spread a positive message in the garment decorating community to strengthen and bring our community together.
How?
If you have a great business idea that is working in this climate, please share it and #dontstopthepresses
If you want to give a shout out to someone who helped you, shout it and #dontstopthepresses
If you need help, reach out to us and #dontstopthepresses
If you wish to send positive vibes out to the world, send them and #dontstopthepresses
Don’t shut yourself off, but put in 3x more positive than negative vibes (news, media, social posts) each day. Really, it’s science. Just recently, scientists have proven that persistent negative thoughts and emotions impact the body in drastic ways. Negative beliefs make people prone to disease.
Invite
I'd like to personally invite you to a live Podcast at 10:00 AM PST on Friday, March 20th with Callie and Bekenson Pierre, who I met in Haiti on my very first Allmade trip and we've been friends and colleagues ever since. Callie recently wrote this blog and Facebook Post for www.lapointefoundation.org that talked about her experience going through several similar situations for the past 10 years in Haiti -- extremely helpful perspective for what is happening today. Our conversation is going to focus on what she learned to both survive and thrive through this trying situation.
Register to see it live at 10:00 AM PST Friday, March 20th or watch it after here. We look forward to having you join us!
As Thomas Fuller first wisely pointed out, “The darkest hour is just before the dawn.” Together, we can reach our collective dawn sooner. Put in the positive, share the positive, and #dontstopthepresses ✌️
