What up, Printers? It’s ROQ.US Tech Zach Achorn, aka, the “Can of Corn”. I'm out here installing Logo Daddy’s new game-changing setup and I’m here to talk about MADE Lab’s Water-Based Camp.
I was out there representing ROQ for the week for the beginner and for the advanced portion of the Camp, and it was a great time – my second year going, too. Last year, I went as an attendee, this year it was a little different for me, but still an amazing experience, and took a lot away from it. I would say honestly, coming from last year into this year, it made it even clearer what I learned last year. The number one thing that I learned last year was to: invest in Yourself.
What I mean by that, is get Yourself out to the classes, get Yourself out to the events, and stuff like that. By investing in Your growth by going to these things, what You're really doing is setting Yourself up to build Your network. Your network really reflects your net worth at the end of the day. Investing in Yourself and going to these events makes a huge difference.
The second thing that I would say, is that water-based screen printing isn't nearly as scary as it seems on the surface. You just got to dive into it. Take the time, do the R&D for Your shop, and figure out what You need to do in order to be good at it. There are so many people in this industry that do water-based in different ways and very well. Dive in, invest in Yourself, and do not hesitate to reach out to people – especially #YourPartnerInPrint.
Going back to Your network. It's very important, and our industry’s Community is beautiful. Do not hesitate to reach out to us, whoever it may be, especially when it comes to ROQ and everything that we do to support Your success on Your terms. We want to be there and help You in any way we can, along with the awesome team at MADE Lab and every other outlet we have in this industry. Don’t wait to get involved. I can't stress that enough. I probably sound like a broken record saying all this, but water-based is an amazing experience that can elevate and expand Your entire offering.
For me, I always just get excited being around screen printing and being around my friends who I call my family at this point, my print fam, our #ROQFam. In short, Water-Based Camp was awesome. I definitely encourage everybody to make it out next year and to any of our MADE Lab classes or classes that we have at the ROQ.US Tech Center in Florida or at some of our Partners across North America. We're going to soon have classes all over the US. So I would definitely look into what makes the most sense for You and keep investing further and further into Your most prosperous future.
Whatever it is You want to learn, get Yourself out there. You never know when You’ll meet the person who'll show You how to reach Your next level, and we’re always ready and eager to support You when ready. Once I started going to classes, getting myself involved and participating in training and helping training and doing classes and installs and all that stuff, my education and growth in the industry really took off.
So again, invest in Yourself, don't hesitate to ask questions. We’re on standby to help You #PressOnward. And remember, water-based doesn't need to be scary, it can be really fun and rewarding in so many ways. Reach out anytime and ROQ on, Printers.
