How does the ROQ IMPRESS meet the specific demands and challenges of DTF printing?
Marcello: "Really it's about efficient pressing, efficient in the way that it presses, efficient in the number that it can press on an hourly rate, and the floor space it takes up."
What features and benefits make the IMPRESS a top choice in the DTF market?
Marcello: "The speed. Having those two heat platens together (on the 3-head press) means instead of doing a 10 second press or a 12 second press, you could do the 5 second or 6 second and moving that machine every 5 to 6 seconds. That way you're taking that productivity from, say, 300 an hour straight up to 600 an hour. Supaeasy, Supafast."
Do you have any success stories or case studies demonstrating the efficiency of the IMPRESS in DTF Supacolor applications?
Marcello: "At the Impressions Expo Long Beach, we had an attendee bring another company's 'hot peel' heat transfer to test on the ROQ IMPRESS. We pressed it with the same settings for a hot peel heat transfer but it didn't peel properly. Turns out it was a COLD PEEL heat transfer. So we ran it again and let it cool down while we hot peeled 20 Supacolor heat transfers in the time it took for that other heat transfer to cool down for its cold peel.
People think they know what a transfer is and they know how transfers work. But sometimes that's down to basically... they've, 'done it that way. It's always been like that,' you know, 'it's always been like that. So we don't change it.'
That works to some extent. But this machine has made it possible to say, hey, no! Actually, you can up your efficiency by rethinking how you press that transfer. For example, that customer was able to press way quicker than they've ever done before."
