At ROQ.US, we’re incredibly proud of the veterans on our team who bring the skills, discipline, and grit they honed in the military to support our customers in the decorated apparel industry. These men have done their time on the front lines, and now they’re bringing that same commitment to helping our partners in print. Every one of them brings unique strengths from their service, whether it’s problem-solving, attention to detail, or just a steady hand in a tough situation.
Here’s a look at some of the veterans on Team ROQ and what they bring to the table every day.
Buck Premo (far left) and Mike Dolph (second left) joined the same exact day and went to tech school together. Later on we were both stationed in Okinawa Japan and deployed to Afghanistan together where this picture was taken.
Buck Premo - @roqteq
Air Force, 2006–2016
Job: Helicopter Crew Chief on HH-60 Pavehawks
Rank: Staff Sergeant/E-5
Buck joined the Air Force in 2006 with a simple goal: to see the world and make a difference. As a crew chief on HH-60 Pavehawks, Buck was part of critical search-and-rescue missions, often under challenging conditions. His role required extreme precision, an eye for detail, and the ability to work as part of a team to complete high-stakes missions. "In the Air Force, I learned how to focus, no matter how tough things got. When lives are on the line, you learn fast how important it is to get it right," Buck says.
At ROQ, Buck brings that same laser focus to helping our customers keep their equipment in top shape. His motto, “service before self,” is a guiding principle for him. "In the print world, the stakes are different, but customers still rely on us to get the job done. For me, it’s all about putting the customer first, making sure their machines are running smoothly, and helping them hit their deadlines," he says. After a decade with ROQ, Buck’s attention to detail and commitment to customer service have made him an invaluable part of our team—and a “ROQ” for our customers when they need him most.
Will Natareno - @veintiocho.us
Army, 2011–2015
Job: 19D Cavalry Scout, Reconnaissance and Gunner during OEF Deployment
When Will joined the Army in 2011, he was a 20-year-old new dad who wanted a stable future for his family. The economy was in rough shape, and jobs were hard to come by, so the Army provided both a chance for stability and a path toward a better life. As a Cavalry Scout, Will was tasked with reconnaissance, patrolling, and personal security, often in high-risk zones. His service included a deployment in Afghanistan, where he learned quickly to expect the unexpected and roll with whatever came his way.
One of the biggest lessons he took from the Army was resilience: "Hope for the best, expect the worst, and adapt to whatever gets thrown your way," Will says. In his work at ROQ, he brings that resilience to every customer interaction. He understands that in the print business, things don’t always go as planned, but he’s ready to adapt and get the job done. "Whether it’s a machine issue or a tight deadline, I’m here to keep things moving forward. My time in the Army taught me that staying cool under pressure is key, and that’s what I bring to the table for our customers," he says.
Mike Dolph - @helomech
Air Force, 2006–2016
Job: Helicopter Mechanic (Crew Chief) on Tiltrotor Helicopters
Rank: Staff Sergeant
Mike joined the Air Force in 2006 looking for a fresh start and some solid training, knowing he wanted something different than college or a typical desk job. As a helicopter mechanic, he was responsible for the safety and maintenance of complex machines, from engines to hydraulic systems to flight controls. His role required him to work closely with a team to ensure every piece of equipment was in peak condition. "You’re not just fixing machines; you’re responsible for people’s lives," Mike recalls. "It taught me how to work under pressure, keep my head down, and figure things out—fast."
Now at ROQ, Mike has found a new purpose in making sure that our industrial equipment runs smoothly and reliably. "Going from helicopters to screen printing machines might seem like a big change, but the fundamentals are the same. You have to pay attention to every little detail, work with precision, and have your customers’ backs," he explains. Mike’s technical skills and dedication make him a go-to guy for our customers, and his military background gives him a unique perspective on how to troubleshoot and solve problems before they become bigger issues. "At ROQ, I get to do what I love—helping people, solving tough problems, and being part of a team."
Honoring Veterans in the Decorated Apparel Industry
Beyond our own team, we’re proud to work with veteran-owned print shops and apparel decorators across the industry. These businesses embody the discipline, resilience, and work ethic that’s second nature to veterans. From solo operators to larger shops, veteran-owned businesses are a crucial part of our industry, and we’re honored to be their partner in print. Their commitment to quality, community, and service make them a natural fit for what we’re all about at ROQ.
A Heartfelt Thanks to All Veterans in Print
This Veterans Day, we’re taking a moment to honor the veterans on our team and across the screen printing community who continue to serve in new ways. They’ve shown us what it means to be dedicated, dependable, and driven—qualities that benefit everyone they work with. To all the veterans out there, thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and for bringing your strength and skills to the print industry. We’re grateful to have you as our partners, colleagues, and friends.
Happy Veterans Day from ROQ.US.
