MADE Laboratory “A home for crazy makers and creators who see what’s next and make it happen now.”
MADE Lab was envisioned by founders Brett Bowden and Tom Davenport during the 2020 pandemic as a place for the apparel decorating industry to test and develop their processes and products. Brett’s shop, Printed Threads, has been a ROQ partner since 2015 and was used to create training and educational videos for industry partners like Bella+Canvas, Allmade Apparel, and ROQ.US. Tom and Brett wanted to create a state-of-the-art facility without the distractions of day-to-day production to test, develop, and educate the industry to make better apparel. They found an old dilapidated building next door to Printed Threads and a home for that vision was born.
Today, MADE Lab continues its original vision by creating services, education, and experiences to connect and elevate the industry.
Fabric testing and decorator recommendations for SanMar, Bella+Canvas, and other industry apparel brands.
Design and development for clothing lines and print shops, including art creation, brand development, separations, screen making, and testing.
Training and support both at the Lab and in shops across the country teaching hands-on best practices and helping print shops elevate their decoration not by telling what is wrong, but by empowering with how to make it right.
Finally, producing training classes and events, such as: Learn to ROQ, MADE To ROQ, WB Week, FX Camp, Print Hustlers, and Thread X.
MADE Lab is the place to learn and connect to create better apparel for a better future for our industry. We welcome visitors whether to one of our classes, an event, or even a private tour and demo. We’re excited to meet with you and expand our mutual knowledge of what is possible in apparel decoration.
